PUBLIC BUILDINGS THAT USE LESS ENERGY

SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire is a leading player driving the local energy transition, supporting local authorities to improve the energy efficiency of their public buildings.

The Energy Management Assistance Service (SAGE), with its workforce shared with the municipalities, offers local authorities far-reaching support to help them rein in their energy spending. SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire’s role is to provide assistance for the technical, legal and financial aspects of operating energy facilities. Its role is to put forward proposals and advise local authorities on the energy solutions most appropriate for them. We conduct energy choice studies, carry out consumption measurements, thermographic analyses of buildings, draw up specifications and monitor work sites.

ELECTRIC MOBILITY

SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire has set up a public network of electric vehicle charging stations, named Mobiloire, with the financial backing of the ADEME (environmental agency) and different inter-municipal bodies’ and municipalities. This network covers the entire Loire Department.

We supervise all the charging stations situated in public spaces. The facilities we have installed are accessible via a subscription card and are compatible with the subscriptions of other regional, national or European operators.

MEASURING THE BENEFITS OF LOCAL ENERGY PROJECTS

SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire has developed a territorial energy forward planning application named “Prosper”, which the local authorities can use for their energy and climate-related initiatives.

Prosper cross-references energy and territorial data to measure the benefits of local energy projects. It also facilitates local authorities’ planning of energy transition actions.

RENEWABLE ENERGIES

SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire acts as contracting authority for wood energy urban heating networks, photovoltaic power stations, solar water heating systems and experiments. We carry out the studies, make the investments and provide maintenance services on behalf of the local authorities.

50 wood-fired boilers and around a hundred solar farms are already up and running in Loire.

STREET LIGHTING AND BIODIVERSITY

SIEL-Territoire d’énergie Loire is committed, along with France Nature Environnement Loire, to the promotion of actions to limit the impact of artificial light on nocturnal biodiversity. Municipalities are encouraged to favour optimised, low heat loss lighting systems. We provide local authorities with technical assistance to set up systems of automatically switching off street lights or on-demand lighting systems.
